Zusatztipps für die Zubereitung

For an extra layer of flavor, consider rubbing the pork with the seasoning rub a day ahead and letting it rest overnight in the refrigerator. This deepens the spice profile. When shredding the pork, be gentle to keep the meat moist and tender. If the sauce is too thin after cooking, simmer it on the stove for a few minutes to reduce and thicken.

Varianten und Anpassungen

To add a bit of heat, stir in 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes into the sauce before cooking. If peaches are out of season, apricot preserves make an excellent substitute keeping that fruity sweetness. Swap regular buns for gluten-free versions to suit dietary needs without compromising flavor.

Serviervorschläge

This pulled pork shines served on a soft bun with crisp coleslaw or tangy pickles for contrast. It’s also fantastic over steamed rice or alongside grilled vegetables for a wholesome summer meal. Don’t forget to offer extra BBQ sauce on the side for saucy bites!
